Workshops and Keynotes

To power your positive in more ways than one-on-one coaching, I also offer live or virtual keynotes and workshops to organizations. Whether you’re a group of ten people or ten thousand I’ve helped renowned businesses work through their defining moments of change, and I can offer you a talk or a workshop on the following topics:

Reimagine Resilience | Sober and Stuck | Leading During Uncertainty

Reimagine Resilience

What is resilience? How is it practiced? And, how can it change your perspective? This 45-minute presentation will reveal the true secret to resilience, (there is no secret) and introduce nine techniques you can add to your daily practice so you can learn how to bounce forward from life’s setbacks.

A Note from Ben

Any personal or business plan we created at the beginning of the year has been upended by the ongoing pandemic, a roller-coaster economic picture, the fight for equality, a divisive political landscape, natural disasters, and more.

From the way the world was to a future full of unknowns we are living in the middle. And, like any from / to shift, the middle is never pretty. Some days we feel like we‘re taking two steps forward followed by days when it feels like we’re taking five giant steps back.

That’s why the need to increase our resilience has never been more urgent. Resilience helps us bounce back from difficulties and bounce forward to experiment with life. Through positive practice you can not only overcome, you can enrich your life with all of the goodness life has to offer.

Thanks for the session today Ben! It comes at a great time. I’m taking a week off after today and that gives me the space to focus on a few of my key takeaways like creating a routine to build my psychological immune system. Feeling grateful.

Sober and Stuck?

If you’re feeling stuck in an area of your recovery journey or your goals aren’t progressing as planned, this tune-up is for you. It’ll give you the resilience you need to get into action and stay in action on your recovery journey. Three core concepts in this workshop will power your positive.

Aim: Identify, prioritize and create a plan around areas you’d like to direct greater attention to.

Arm: Learn techniques designed to help you get into action. Also, get in-the-moment coaching on your specific challenges.

Inspire: Get fired up by my energy and bias for action, and recommit to your journey of transformation.

A Note from Ben

One of the greatest journeys of my life has been my journey of recovery. Finding a True North and learning to connect with the world in a more meaningful, authentic way has had a profound impact on me personally and professionally. I’ve discovered that we are all in recovery from something and recovery takes a power greater than our own. That’s why I love helping others on their journey.

Recovery is a lifelong journey. We all need a boost from time to time. My “Sober and Stuck” workshop is designed to help you through those times. The energy and approach I use will inspire you to continue your journey, and together we’ll zoom in on the ‘here and now’ to navigate your professional and personal challenges.

This one-day workshop is highly customizable, and can be delivered 1:1 or in small groups. Elements of the workshop can also be tailored for virtual events as well.

I loved everything! The group interactions, writing exercises, and one-on-ones with Ben were all extremely helpful. I am energized and ready to GSD. Thank you so much!

Leading During Uncertainty

At some point we can all feel like we’ve lost our way, but then you remember who you are and where you want to be. This workshop is designed to help organizations face the challenge of new direction or leadership.

Pre-workshop planning: Meet to address needs and ensure a tailored, high-impact workshop.

Half-day workshop: Deliver keynote as a standalone event or as part of a larger meeting.

Two-hour jam session: Follow up with a session to expand on the results of the workshop.

A Note from Ben

I'm stoked to inject my authenticity, joy, and strategic thinking to help you find your best path forward using the best of what you have to offer. As a fan of three things, here’s what this workshop will do for you:

Align: Define how your team wants to lead through uncertain times.

Discover: Determine what each team and team member needs to achieve a leadership statement people can agree on during the Align phase of the workshop.

Resource: Use 'in-the-moment coaching' to equip each team member with at least three resources (e.g. techniques, frameworks, etc.) they can immediately apply to their challenge. Have each team member commit to an action plan using those resources.

These engagements are highly meaningful to me because they give people a renewed sense of energy and purpose. And when people are motivated by positive action, they often power more positive into the world.

We can’t thank you enough for a wonderful couple days with you to help us think through our future and how best to lead through it.

When @kelseymurphy emailed a link to our conversation, she included the following: "I could talk with you for hours. Can’t wait for you to hear how fun, honest, loving, and helpful this episode is." The moment Kelsey and I sat down to record this episode for her Whiskey and Work podcast, I knew I could talk to her for hours, too!
