Podcast: Anxiety Does Not Contribute to Outcomes
Last month I wrote down two words: be helpful.
As we began experiencing the impact of a global health crisis that brought unprecedented uncertainty to our lives, my daily intention became to simply be helpful—to family, friends, neighbors, clients, and the world—in whatever way I could.
Soon after setting that intention, Bronwyn Saglimbeni, host of 20 Minutes with Bronwyn, reached out to let me know she was starting season 3 of her podcast early to help people navigate this challenging time. Her note said simply, “I want to leverage your knowledge around GSD for our good people.”
Here’s how Brownyn introduced our conversation to her audience, “Performance Coach Ben Kiker makes everything better. Ben gave me:
The perfect mantra for replacing this shitty thought: I’m going to lose what I have. I’m not going to get what I want. Trust me, you’ll want to get this mantra Post Malone’d to your face, it’s that good.
Tricks for bouncing back from feeling like a giant loser who lives for Westworld and tequila.
How to build a strong “morning practice” vs letting the day have its way with you.”
Our conversation also includes a lighthearted moment when I refer to my husband, Rick, as my “prison guard.”
Please check out the podcast, follow Bronwyn and 20 Minutes with Bronwyn, and if I don't have your email address please enter it below. Bronwyn and I didn’t get through half of what I jotted down for the podcast, and I’ll share the rest of the content in future newsletters.
As always, thanks for stopping by! I hope you found this helpful, and I’d love to hear from you! You can email me at ben@thebenkikergroup.com, or connect with me via Instagram, Twitter or LinkedIn.
